2019 Hiring Range: $57,865.04 to $60,266.56 annually, with a scheduled 2% increase in September 2019

This position has a mandatory live-in requirement (approx. $16,000 taxable benefit) and will participate in the Coordinator On-Call rotation which breakdowns to being on call once every three weeks. The RLCs @ UNBC are unionized (CUPE 3799) and receives overtime pay in accordance with the Collective Agreement for all On-Call + after-hours work. This position also currently qualifies for 6% vacation pay (in lieu of vacation); MSP, Extended Health/Vision, Dental, Group Life, AD&D, and EAP.

Currently, UNBC Housing welcomes over 500 students each semester. We are looking for a candidate who is excited about the opportunity to actively contribute and support Residence growth. The Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operational and administrative functions related to Residence Life. Specific duties include training and supervising a team of Residence Life Assistants, budgetary responsibilities, initiating procedures and communications for student conduct issues in Residence, and leading the principles and initiatives that ensure an environment conducive to academic pursuits, social interaction, healthy diversity and student development. The incumbent will also oversee student conduct and restitution within Residence.

The successful candidate will possess:

– An undergraduate Degree in education, social work, humanities or related subjects
– Minimum of one year experience (1820 hours) with supervisory and administrative responsibilities in a University or College residence
– Successful experience and working knowledge of risk mitigation, student conduct procedures, and safety reporting
– Experience in educational and recreational program planning, implementation, and evaluation would be considered an asset
– Ability to obtain a valid BC Driver’s License, and a clean criminal record check
