Primary Purpose: Reporting to the Residence Manager, Student Life (RM-SL), the Assistant Manager, Student Life (AMSL) is a senior member of the Student Life Team responsible for select administrative and managerial functions in a manner consistent with Residence Department and University goals, mission, and values. The AMSL works with the larger team of professional and student staff in the Residence Department who support the academic and personal success of residents.

Nature of Work: The successful candidate will be required to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner and communicate clearly, effectively, and collaboratively with a diverse student, parent, and staff population. This position has seasonal peaks and an annual cycle. Peak periods (such as academic year start and end) require wide availability and have high work demands (e.g., evenings and weekends). Irregular work hours are required in order to facilitate availability to students and staff during the regular cycle due to staff meetings, trainings, and other after-hours support. The successful candidate will also provide coverage during peak holiday periods or other absences and will be required to provide on-call support after-hours.
