The University of Victoria is seeking an experienced, student-centered leader to serve as Associate Director, Residence Life (ADRL). This is an exceptional opportunity to influence the experience, wellbeing, and success of thousands of students while providing leadership within one of the largest and most comprehensive student housing programs in British Columbia.
Reporting within Student Affairs, the ADRL provides strategic leadership for a dynamic program and a team of 125+ professional and student paraprofessional staff. The role provides direction to teams responsible for community development, student support, conduct, crisis response, and student learning initiatives that foster safe, inclusive, and vibrant on-campus communities.
As a key residence leader, the Associate Director will help define the vision, culture, and strategic direction of the department. Drawing on student development theory, best practices, and professional standards, this leader will guide programs and services that enhance belonging, support student success, and help form an exceptional experience for a diverse and evolving student population.
